Midwest Airlines and The Mark Travel Corporation Join Forces to Offer New Opportunities and Value to Leisure Travelers

MILWAUKEE, July 10, 2003 - Two travel industry powerhouses from Milwaukee, Midwest Airlines (NYSE: MEH) and The Mark Travel Corporation, have announced the first wave of a series of business alliances that will offer new opportunities and value to leisure travelers.

Midwest Airlines has named Mark Travel to operate its leisure vacation program, Midwest Vacations, starting in 2004. In addition, Midwest Airlines will provide Funjet Vacations – the flagship brand of Mark Travel – with aircraft capacity on some of Funjet's most popular routes, including Milwaukee-Las Vegas, Milwaukee-Puerto Vallarta and San Antonio-Las Vegas.

The new Midwest Airlines Vacations program, available this fall for travel after Jan. 1, 2004, will offer vacations to Atlanta, Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Nashville, New York, Orange County, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Antonio, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., as well as golf, Colorado ski/summer and seasonal Florida packages. Air and hotel vacations will be provided, with the option to add a rental car and features such as attraction tickets. The addition of dynamic packaging to the Midwest Airlines Vacation portfolio, a venture planned for fall, will further enhance the ability of travelers to customize their vacation experience.

"We're convinced Mark Travel will strengthen the Midwest Vacations brand," said Timothy E. Hoeksema, chairman and chief executive officer of Midwest Airlines. "The combined commitment of people, technology and other resources will result in additional travel options and greater value for the traveling public."

Midwest Airlines will support Funjet Vacations by providing aircraft capacity on popular Funjet routes beginning in December. Nonstop Milwaukee-Las Vegas service will be offered on scheduled service Midwest Airlines flights. To accommodate additional passengers, Midwest will add four roundtrip flights to its existing weekly schedule, for a total of 13 roundtrip flights in the market each week. Nonstop Milwaukee-Puerto Vallarta service (weekly, increasing to twice weekly during peak travel months) and San Antonio-Las Vegas service (four days weekly) will be devoted exclusively to Funjet Vacations passengers, flying on Midwest Airlines aircraft staffed by Midwest Airlines flight crews.

"Working together, Midwest Airlines and Mark Travel are bringing an array of innovative products to the market that will provide exciting new opportunities for travelers," said Bill La Macchia, president and chief executive officer of Mark Travel.

The alliance between the two companies is a natural one, according to Hoeksema, because the companies share the same customer service philosophy. "We both have strong reputations in the travel industry – Midwest Airlines for ‘The best care in the air' and Mark Travel for its superb vacation brands." With the introduction of its Saver Service, Midwest Airlines now has aircraft that are ideally suited for programs like those being announced. Mark Travel, known for its uniformed representatives in the destination and 24-hour traveler assistance center, provides added value and assistance to travelers.

"This is a logical next step for both organizations," La Macchia concluded. "We fully intend to continue to develop and expand this relationship as we go forward."

Midwest Airlines features nonstop jet service to major destinations throughout the United States. Skyway Airlines, Inc. – its wholly owned subsidiary – operates Midwest Connect, which offers connections to Midwest Airlines as well as point-to-point service between select markets on regional jet and turboprop aircraft. Together, the airlines offer service to 51 cities. More information is available at www.midwestairlines.com.
