The Mark Travel Corporation Hosts Government Dignitaries from Mexico
MILWAUKEE, Aug. 5, 2002 - The Mark Travel Corporation was honored to host Sr. Joaquin Hendriks - Governor of the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico; Sr. Guillermo Martinez - Minister of Tourism of Quintana Roo, Mexico; Sr. Abelardo Vara - President of the Cancun Hotel Association/Owner of Omni Cancun Hotel; Dr. Miguel Borge Martin - President of the Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau; and Sr. Jorge Luis Tellez - Director of the Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau in Milwaukee to meet with the executives of TMTC.
The meeting was to foster a closer relationship and build on a mutual understanding of each others objectives as it relates to bringing more vacationers to this popular area of Mexico. “We have been most fortunate to have such personal, long-lasting relationships and friendships with the hoteliers.” said Bill La Macchia, chairman of TMTC. “Communicating and working closer with the government of Mexico brings a greater perspective and understanding for planning into the future,” said La Macchia. This was a positive extension from an earlier meeting La Macchia had this year in Acapulco with Mexico’s President Fox.
TMTC is recognized as one of the largest and most diversified leisure travel companies in the United States. The company owns or manages 16 of the nations’ most respected travel companies such as Adventure Tours USA, AeroMexico Vacations, Funjet Vacations, MexSeaSun, TransGlobal Vacations, United Vacations and US Airways Vacations, to name a few.
