The Mark Travel Corporation Gives Back to Communities

MILWAUKEE, June 24, 2003 - The Mark Travel Corporation believes in giving back to the communities that support them. Since 1990, TMTC, the parent company of Funjet Vacations and 16 other nationally-known vacation companies, has held monthly donation meetings to carefully review all proposals for trip donations to be used at fund-raising charity events.

Donation requests must be received 60 days prior to the event in order to be considered and to manage the volume. The TMTC donation committee meets the first Tuesday of each month. "Consideration is given to the impact of our contribution to the organization or community, merit of the proposal and past participation. The corporation provides Funjet Vacations trips that can be used as a live auction or raffle items to generate funds," said Randi Becker, vice president of public and community relations for TMTC. "Children charities dealing with disabilities or disadvantage will continue to be our main concentration," said Becker.

Headquartered in Milwaukee, TMTC has offices in Orlando, Fla.; Las Vegas; Chicago; Houston; Dallas; Detroit; Minneapolis; Hawaii; Albuquerque, N.M.; Jamaica and London. In addition to the monthly charity review, each office can choose one local charity annually for the employees to support. Funjet Vacations in Milwaukee has collected new clothes, toys, school supplies and household good for "La Casita", a children's home in Cancun. Through the years Funjet Vacations has been a major sponsor of The American Heart Association's Heart Walk, Make-A-Wish, St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care, and recently employees participated in "Walk for a Cure for Breast Cancer."
